Two Kinds of Wisdom

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.  —  James 3:13-18 (NIV)

And, they will know we are Christians by our love…to love whole-heartedly without reservation, full of peace and absence of malice, hate and jealously. May we set our goals high and always keep reaching! May your day be blessed and may you bless someone else’s day! 😀

I remember watching the lone fig tree during summer as the figs would grow and my anticipation would swell thinking of

their wonderful taste that would come. It seemed to take forever for the figs to mature. Whether it was berries and plums we picked in spring or pears and figs in late summer, each fruit was like a sweet gift.

43 “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. – LUKE 6:43-45 NIV

Our heart supplies everything within us to give us life, strength, and nourishment. The heart of the mind is no different. What is in our heart matters. If we have a good heart—seeking to do good, then we will do good things and speak good things. If we have an evil heart, evil will be what comes forth.

Take care of your hearts—the one that pumps blood to all parts of your body and be careful of the heart of the mind. It is the center of your being, that thing that gives purpose and life. It is just as important as the heart organ—probably more so.

May your day be blessed and may you be comforted. 😀
